A latex fetish is a sexual interest focused on latex clothing or the material itself. Its appearance, close fit, texture, and associations can all contribute to the attraction.
Some people primarily enjoy looking at it. Others are interested in wearing it. Those preferences can overlap, but admiring an outfit doesn't necessarily mean wanting to spend an afternoon getting into it.
The material is part of the point
Latex is strongly associated with a smooth, close-fitting appearance, often presented with a glossy finish. For someone drawn to the material, replacing it with something that looks vaguely similar may change the appeal entirely.

A person interested in shine might enjoy several materials. A person specifically interested in latex may care about properties the alternatives don't share. Those are related interests with different centers of attention.
Does latex imply domination?
Latex appears in dominant imagery, but it doesn't assign a role. The wearer might be dominant, submissive, neither, or simply interested in the clothing. An outfit is not a consent form or a job description.
The same applies to color and style. A dramatic outfit can suggest a character without establishing how the wearer wants to be treated.

Words such as femdom, fashion, or worship add different information. You get a clearer picture by reading those details together rather than asking one word to explain everything.
